Samara Costa Rica was one of our favorite places that we visited on our trip. And while we thoroughly enjoyed all the fun we had in Samara, we loved looking for Samara rentals and finding a cool one. The thing we liked best about this rental was how affordable, spacious, and unique it was. The location was also ideal, making it easy to get everywhere in town on foot.

Location of the Samara Costa Rica Rental
The location of this cool rental was awesome. It was located right as you pull into town, but only a short walk away from the beach, making it one of the best locations of all the Samara rentals.
I’ll admit, right when you pull up to the building, you might think
“hmmm”
But then you pull around back to the entrance and it’s actually quite cool.
You’ll go through a gate that blocks off some land to where you have your covered parking, right next to the condo. It’s nice to have a little space when you walk out every morning.
However, right outside the gate and across the street is the main town of Samara.
You’ll enjoy a great restaurant right across the street, fresh fruit shops, souvenir shops, and a pharmacy all within walking distance. Plus, the larger grocery stores are on the same street as this rental.
The rental is a first floor unit of this condo complex.

Inside this Awesome Samara Rental
We instantly fell in love the moment we walked inside.
This rental is about character. And I don’t mean that as a euphemism for old and rough. I mean, our family ended up calling the house “casita” like from Encanto cause it was so cute and charming.
The owners call it Casa Jr, so pretty close 🙂
The decor was tasteful, beautiful, and cultural.
Main Area
When you walk in, you’ll see a living area immediately to your left. A flatscreen hangs on the wall for those evening movie-nights.
The living area is in an open space with the dining table which seated 6 people.
The Kitchen had a large counter space and included a toaster, coffeemaker, knife block, and plenty of serving utensils on the counter.
The cabinets were stocked with dishes, mixing bowls, and anything else you might need.
We prepared almost all our meals during our time in Samara, and we had everything we needed at this rental.
The Bedrooms at the Samara rental
There were three bedrooms at this cool rental in Samara. One was the master, which included its own bathroom.
The next two rooms shared a Jack-and-Jill bathroom (a bathroom with a door/entrance from each room).
One guest bedroom had a double bed and the other room had 2 double beds. There was plenty of space for our family of 6 to sleep comfortably!
There was also a half-bath right inside the front door.
We really felt like there was plenty of space for us all.
Extra Amenities at this cool Samara Rental
The Pool
Yes, there was a pool at this Samara rental. The pool is in the back of the condo complex, so even though you are right in town, there is a degree of quiet and privacy at the pool.
However, it was pretty small.
We never used the pool, but not because of the size. We never used it because we spent our days out-and-about in Samara or at the awesome beach just a short walk away.
Laundry Machines
One reason I love getting a rental home versus a hotel when we vacation is because the rentals will often have laundry machines. This comes in handy so many times, especially if you are on a longer trip!
It is so nice to do laundry and have some fresh, clean clothes.
The laundry machines were stacked and inside a closet in the back of the kitchen. So convenient!
The Television
We don’t watch a lot of TV at home, so when we vacation it’s a bit of a treat to sit down and relax after a big day of adventure.
On the TV in this Samara rental, you can access Disney+ (or at least at the time of our stay it was available) which is a huge win when traveling with kids!
*We also enjoyed playing music from the Alexa each morning 🙂
Air Conditioning
Each room in this Samara rental has an A/C unit on the wall. And yes, they work well!
A/C is such a nice benefit, especially in Costa Rica. It’s nice to come home from a hot day and turn on the A/C. Plus, it really helps to have a better nights rest when it’s not so hot.
Not all places have A/C, so this is a great bonus.

Extra Mentions about this rental in Samara
The owner of this property was so friendly and responsive. It was great to have a direct contact for him for quick communication.
The owners have left a binder of information regarding the town of Samara and great attractions nearby. This was so fun to read through and get ideas.
This condo was CLEAN. It’s so nice walking into a place and having that clean, welcoming feeling.
There were plenty of towels for both the bath and the beach!
This vacation rental in Samara is right in town. It is so, so convenient. We walked everywhere, including throwing a backpack on and going to the grocery store down the road.
That said, on ONE of the nights there was music playing at night. We kinda rolled our eyes and thought “oh great.” But by about 9:00, it was quiet again! Yay!
The owner does mention that on holidays the music can go longer, so if you book New Year’s Eve or another big holiday, be aware of that beforehand so you aren’t disappointed!
The condo has high-speed internet included.
Access to the condo is with a physical key that you retrieve from a lockbox at the property.

We really thought this Samara rental was just so charming. It had great character, but also great space and conveniences. We loved having a rental so close to town and the beach. We would most definitely stay here again on our next trip to Samara, Costa Rica.
