We’ve been to Steamboat so many times. There are a lot of great areas to stay in, and none are too far from the fun.
Steamboat Springs is a pretty awesome mountain town in Colorado. It’s filled with lots of family-friendly things to do all year long. Steamboat makes a great vacation destination, whether you’re looking for winter skiing or summer adventure.
The town is friendly, dog-friendly, and has a small, mountain-town feel to it. Combined with all that, it’s even better when you find the best family friendly rentals in Steamboat Springs.

1. Log Cabin in the Mountains
This incredible log cabin will give you that classic, mountain feel the second you drive up to it. Two people can enjoy their privacy at night in the main home, while up to 8 people can sleep in the log barn. Both are furnished and even the guest / log barn has a little kitchenette.
This newer cabin was constructed in 2018 on 30 private acres. You’ll enjoy views, privacy, a short drive to town, and scenery since you are located right IN Routt National Forest.

This awesome condo is rated perfectly from past guests. Perhaps they loved 3 different hot tubs in natural-feeling settings, the heated year-round pool, or the quick access to the slopes.
Either way, the whole family can come. It sleeps 6 comfortable in beds, plus a pull out sofa for an extra! The complex also features a nice fitness room, game room, and even a great restaurant on site.

4. Kestrel Corner – In Town Rental
This newly renovated and newly listed condo in Steamboat is ah-mazing. The best part is its location right in the heart of downtown. The next best is the great views of both Howelsen hill to one side and the resort area out the other side. Or go onto the shared deck for 360 views all at once.
While you’ll get a 1-car heated garage, you won’t need to drive much as you’ll be in the middle of it all! Walk to plenty of restaurants and shops, Howelsen Hill for summer hiking or winter skiing.
You can also take the shuttle around town or to visit Steamboat Ski Resort.
This 2 bed/2 bath condo features artwork from the owner, a fireplace, laundry, 1 king and 1 queen bed, plus a sleeper sofa for 2 more guests.
This rental is awesome and in the perfect location. Book if you’re sure, as there is a cancellation fee after 48 hours of booking (or, I recommend buying the insurance offered at checkout to cancel for any reason. Always a good idea.)
