Where to Stay in Pagosa Springs

We looked at a few places, but when it comes to traveling with the whole family, we love when we find somewhere with lots of space.

1. Wyndham Pagosa Springs

We ended up staying at Wyndham Pagosa Springs.

This property is huge! I mean, you have to check in and then use the map to drive over to wherever your assigned room is.

We ended up in a single family, stand-alone unit. It was kind of strange because it looked like the house was hoisted up on a large, 1-story cement block. Strange.

It turns out that cement-walled first floor was more of a basement, and it had a hot tub in it. Yes, a hot tub, just for us. Inside. I’m not certain that all units have this (they probably don’t) because there are so many different styles of units at Wyndham Pagosa Springs.

The main floor had a full kitchen, dining area, living area with a TV, two bedrooms and two bathrooms.

A spiral staircase led to a large, open loft with two full beds. Obviously, there was plenty of room for everyone.

Wyndham Pagosa Springs large indoor pool

Doesn’t that look amazing?

Amenities at Wyndham Pagosa-

Since we went in March, we weren’t able to see the beautiful lake on the property. The rec center, which houses a huge indoor pool was closed for maintenance at the time, so we were a little bummed about that. But the pool looked awesome.

You’ll also have access to tennis courts, half-court basketball, and a fitness center.

Extra Perks at Wyndham Pagosa

After we checked in, I got a text. It read that if we needed anything, we just text them! We used this a time or two and it was so convenient.

I also noticed at check-in that they had a changing schedule of events (like yoga classes). They also had kid activity or craft sets you could pick up. How cool is that? (I’m not certain if those are always available.)

2. The Springs Resort and Spa

From $467

One of the most popular things to do in Pagosa Springs is to head to the hot springs. There are a few options, but the nicest and most popular place for hot springs is at The Springs Resort and Spa in Pagosa Springs.

The Springs Resort has 25 hot spring pools to choose from. If you stay here, access to the hot springs is included.

Day passes are a bit costly, so if you plan to visit the hot springs at The Springs Resort, I would consider staying here a night as it may be more cost efficient. You’ll have access to the pools both before and after check in/out the days you stay.

3. Healing Waters Resort and Spa

From $100

Healing Waters Resort is another resort with hot springs on site. While it isn’t as luxurious as The Springs Resort, it is a little more affordable. (Rates anywhere from $100-$240, with multi-room suites available.)

Since our hotel’s pool was closed when we visited, the staff recommended we visit Healing Water’s for a fun pool experience with the kids. It’s a little more rustic with room to play. Access to the hot springs is included when you stay here.
