Wyndham Alltra Cancun – Family Friendly All Inclusive

All About Wyndham Alltra in Cancun

**Update** – This was originally an article on Panama Jack. Panama Jack Cancun is still a fun, family-friendly hotel, however it has switched to a Wyndham Alltra Cancun property.

One really great thing about traveling to Mexico is that there are so many all-inclusive resorts. When you are traveling with kids, this is worth every penny not to pack kids into a car at every mealtime. (And often, you don’t have to dish out too many pennies to get all-inclusive!)

When we were looking at places to stay in Mexico, this resort kept grabbing my attention. And it definitely kept grabbing my kids attention. Anywhere that has a waterslide gets my kids vote.

Restaurants at Wyndham Alltra Cancun

Wyndham Alltra has so many reasons to be on your list. Starting with food (cause who doesn’t make food a high priority when traveling?)

This resort has 13 restaurants, bars, and lounges. Variety is a great thing when you don’t want to eat at a buffet all day long. And all the restaurants are first-come first-serve. I’m not a fan of being outside playing all day, just to realize you didn’t plan dinner out, and now it’s back to the buffet. So first-come first-serve is quite handy in this case. Then if your family is still playing, you don’t have to stop just to make it in time for dinner.

In addition, there is room service until 11:00pm if you just don’t feel like going out to dinner at all!

Amenities, Activities, and Pools at Wyndham Alltra Cancun All Inclusive

Here are the really fun things you can do at Wyndham Alltra. Beyond the list of daily activities (such as culinary classes, beach volleyball or soccer, yoga, water aerobics, and turtle releases in later summer/early fall), there are large and gorgeous pools overlooking the ocean. For kids, there are splash pools as well as a big pirate boat structure with kid slides, landing them into a shallow pool. (That right there? That was a big selling point for my kids while browsing through pictures.)

To stay active, Wyndham Alltra hosts a fitness center, a beachside Zumba class, and water aerobics. Or just take a stroll on the beautiful beach!

Kids Club and Activities at Wyndham Alltra Cancun

Like many all-inclusives, Wyndham Alltra has a kid’s club filled with activities all day long. The colorful room inside is imagination-based play and decor. Beyond kid’s club, kids can go in the multiple kid-based pools. I’m going to go back to the pirate ship, cause it just looks awesome. The ship has a few straight, easy slides coming off of it, plus a twisty slide. This looks so perfect for younger kids (or, um, adults who wanna feel like kids).

There’s also a children’s pool with cute, tropical decor. The wrecked boat looks like it might be another slide!

Aside from pools (and the cool pirate ship), the resort has mini-golf that is for the whole family, as well as movie nights and magic shows.

If the kids are older (teenagers, probably), there’s an awesome room with a pool table, air hockey, tv, and arcade games where they can gather and hang out.

Nightly Entertainment

Nightly entertainment is important to us. When the sun goes down, but it’s not quite bedtime, it’s nice to have something else to look forward to. This resort has it! From mariachi to beach parties, it seems we wouldn’t be left bored at this hotel.

Aside from everything I read about this hotel, the pictures alone wet my appetite. The beach looks like amazing, white powder. It’s large enough to be able to spread out and play, run, stroll, or build. The water looks a perfect turquoise blue. And it seems the resort has water views on both front and back, so you don’t have to play room-roulette to hope for a beach view.

When our next planning time for Mexico comes around, this resort is going to have some extra weight in the decision.

What do you think? Does Wyndham Alltra All Inclusive look as amazing to you as it does to me?
